Trees in the Dog park is a series which has been guided by daily presence. My walks to the local dog park have become a source of infinite inspiration. The shifting light and view through the trees trigger a visual sensation and urge to express.
I'd like to invite viewers into another world, to indulge in a momentary experience of another reality, to question what is near, what is far, what is of this world and what is not, what feels familiar and what is dreamt up...
The moment that day becomes night is a recurring theme in my work. The sense of transitional space intrigues me and moves me to paint. The layers of golden light or indigo nights and earthy hues are suggestive of what I see in the dog park as the visual is filtered through my imagination.

Notes of Hope
Small mixed media works on paper
Notes of Hope are small works on paper that incorporate memory, ancestry, yearning, daily visions and healing. Natural ephemera that I find on walks is drawn and layered into the artworks. They are explorations in colour and feeling. I sometimes incorporate words, poems or lyrics expressing messages of hope.
